Galland Hedding Nopak announces Brian Sternberg as president; Sudarashan Sharma as chief engineer

Galland Henning Nopak, a manufacturer of high-density balers and hydraulic and pneumatic valves and cylinders, announced the appointment of two executives: Brian Sternberg as President and Sudarashan Sharma as Chief Engineer. The announcement of the management team expansion comes as the privately-held, fourth generation family business celebrates its 130-year anniversary in 2017.

Sternberg, who joined Galland Henning Nopak in 2014 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, brings more than 17 years of experience in fluid power technology. Sternberg was previously Director of Sales for Tobul Accumulator, Inc., and Inside Sales Manager and National Accounts Representative for the Hedland Division of Racine Federated, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, an Associate Degree in Fluid Power Technology from Gateway Technical College and a Professional Certificate in Industrial Distribution from Purdue University. Sternberg served as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army National Guard, including one tour in Iraq from 2005 – 2007.

With over 20 years in mechanical engineering management, design and development of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, Sharma is responsible for management of all engineering at Galland Henning Nopak, including product design and development. Prior, Sharma held engineering management roles including for The Oilgear Company and Eaton. Sharma is a licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University and a M.S. Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
