Phoenix Contact releases MINI MCR-2-UI-I-OLP, MINI MCR-2-I-I-ILP, and MINI MCR-2-2I-2I-ILP isolators

Phoenix Contact’s MINI Pro analog family now includes several 6-mm isolators, powered by either the input or output side of the device. The output loop-powered devices can electrically isolate, convert, and filter 0(4)-20 mA analog signals. The input loop-powered devices isolate and filter the signals, but do not convert.

The output loop-powered isolators (MINI MCR-2-UI-I-OLP) allow operation at an active analog input module. The device is powered via the current loop of the controller. On the input side, standard and non-standard analog signals can be connected, ranging from 2 mA or 50 mV up to 40 mA or 30 V. These are then converted to a 4-20 mA signal. The user can configure the module via DIP switches.

The input loop-powered variants include the single-channel MINI MCR-2-I-I-ILP and two-channel MINI MCR-2-2I-2I-ILP, all powered via the field-side device. Input signal to output signal is a 1:1 ratio with no conversion possible or calibration necessary.

Like other MINI Pro signal conditioners, the isolators have a pluggable housing with integrated current-loop test points. The modules measure 6.2 mm wide, to install in tight spaces. With an operating temperature range of -40 to +70 C and 3 kV of isolation, MINI Pro signal conditioners are suitable for nearly every industrial application.

All MINI Pro signal conditioners support NFC communication and a smart device app. For DIP switch programmable modules, this includes a DIP switch programming aid.
